Guyana is a little known country on the shoulder of South America.  It has a very distinct caribbean atmosphere. The capital is Georgetown and we travelled along the northern coast to a town called C.I, where my father in law grew up.  We went down to the sea wall which is an elaborate system of dykes and sluice gates, created by the original Dutch settlers.  It was HOT but very colourful and exciting.
